Fundamentals of design and implementation of fire and safety systems

All work phases are subject to a thorough technical assessment and strict compliance with local and international codes, and are conducted according to the following principles:

• Classify the hazard level according to approved standards (Light / Ordinary / High Hazard).
• Determine the location of fire extinguishers within evacuation routes and high-risk usage areas.
• Adherence to the Saudi Civil Defense Code and international NFPA standards.
• Use specialized engineering software (such as AutoSPRINK, PipeNet, or Revit MEP) to prepare designs.
• Ensure that sprinklers, detectors, hoses, and protection systems are distributed in a thoughtful manner that covers all sensitive areas.
• Determine the type of fire extinguishing system (water, gas, foam, powder) based on the type of facility and its contents.
• Determine the type of fire alarm panel and detectors based on the building’s area and number of zones.
